Can't remember the last time...

Well, to be honest, the last time I updated my blog was in March... that long huh? Yes... people might think that I've forgotten about my blog but actually, I've been so occupied that blogging was the last thing in my list... I am dissappointed in myself no doubt but all I wanted to do after putting Luke to sleep is sleep myself... Alhamdulillah, now, Luke's sleeping is improving and he sleeps better - well, not always but most of the time.

Our baby boy Luke is 19 weeks this week going on 5 months on the 22nd. We started to wean him now and boy does he love his food. I went to weigh him last week and he weighs 18lb 15oz and I think that's about 8.6kg and he is growing by the week, by the day... he is a curious and nosy little chap. He's responding to his name, love to laugh and smile and just a happy camper everyday of the day. He's just adorable... Of course I have to say that coz I'm the mother and he's my son - hee hee! But really for a 19 weeks old boy, he is a bit on the big side... Oh, oh and he loves his carrots and spinach and sweet potato and leek and peas... Its such a joy to watch him eat those purees food and fruits... Of course he still will be having his breast milk coz without that he won't be able to go to bed.

Pictures? Gosh, I'm still in the process of downloading my pictures from camera to computer so friends and family please bare with me okay? Sorry guys, patience okay????

Gotta go - will be back soon!!!

Me still here!

The pain was all worth it when what we have seems so precious and slowly taking over our lives even though he's only 10 days old... Endless sleepless nights, endless nappy changing, endless feeding... He's starting to breast feed and doing marvelously, Alhamdulillah... It took him numerous attempt but together with our perserverence, patience and constant pray, he did it - we did it and now he's always contented after a good feed...
So, here are some pictures of our son, Luke Mikkhail Walker, born on the 22.02.07 @ 11.49pm, normal delivery but with the help of foreceps unfortunately. I was on labour for 20 hours and the pain was excruciating. I was admitted in the hospital for 4 days before the midwife was satisfied with our progress. It was hard when we got home coz I was panicking all the time and with James also new to this parenthood, we both were sometimes at each other where I snap at him and he snap back and we both just snap, snap, snap... but all is well once the baby has settled himself down.. So all, enjoy the pictures we took. Unfortnately, we didn't have our camera with us when he was born but these pictures were taken few days after he was born. Oh, also James and my mother in law were in the delivery room with me and they witness the miracle birth of baby Luke... Uploading some more on my fotopages... Will Update them!

Tired and waiting in anticipation...

A week of my maternity leave has passed and boy was it great! I manage to shop around, get bits and pieces for the baby, clean the house (here and there) watch some day time telly and just do bugger all though at times I felt lazy which was normal I suppose. Yesterday we had a scare. While I was out shopping with Lucy, I felt a constant pain – a cramp to put it right and it was painful. It comes and goes and when I told her she panicked so we decided to go shorten our shopping trip and headed home – just in case. Seeing that we have no idea what’s going on, we decided to head to just in case. Unfortunately, James away in Portsmouth and won’t be back till 8pm so fortunately Lucy was willing to stay with me just in case if anything happens. Obviously nothing did happen and we concluded that it’s just a scare and it’s only a Braxton hicks… It comes and goes but not too bad… Today wasn’t that bad either, felt the cramp pain but its every 20 minutes so nothing to worry about…

We just felt really excited though and scared at the same time and really hoped that it happened yesterday but I guess its not time yet. What’s the rush eh? 8 days to go before the due date. Boy, hoe time flies when you’re having fun and worrying a lot. Mind you, the Boy’s nursery’s still an unfinished project and we presume that at the moment he’ll be sleeping with us in his Moses Basket. InsyaAllah, hope that everything will go smoothly and that he’ll be fine.

Will keep updated! :D
